My passion for art was kindled from a young age by my mother, who was a fine artist and instructor. She instilled in me an understanding that creative processes are not limited to a finite number of media, but can be applied to almost anything that we do.
While my favorite medium is watercolor and ink, I enjoy 'painting' with flowers and trees, sculpt with cake, wood, clay, and turn chicken wire or styrofoam, batting and fabric into theatrical costume heads. Fabric scraps become fabric art.
Having spent many years as an instructor in art, music, writing, communications, political science and theology for people of all ages; I have found that art is the ultimate learning tool for connecting concepts, conveying meaning and illuminating consequence.
